I am very much obliged for the trust and
confidence placed in me, by electing me to the
office of the President of the College of
Chemical Pathologists of Sri Lanka year 2022. I
am truly honoured and humbled to have been
appointed as the privileged title, the President
of College of Chemical Pathologist of Sri Lanka.
I warmly welcome you all to the coming year
Even though a young College, during past few
years our college was successfully able to gain
the due recognition and I must appreciate the
contributions made by all the past Presidents of
College of Chemical Pathologists of Sri Lanka.
Also, I wish to assure that I will continue the
good work to uplift our college throughout this
I take this opportunity to value and appreciate
the work done by the former President and her
Council for their contribution towards the
activities for the upliftment of the field of
chemical pathology during the past year.
I humbly request and invite all of you, to be
unwavering pillars of strength to me during my
tenure of office as the President. All of us
have to work together to meet the objectives
laid down in the constitution of the college and
to fulfil our college vision and mission.
During this year I with my Council will make the
arrangements to continue the academic meetings
to upgrade our knowledge; also plan to arrange
the programs to update the relevant knowledge of
the other related staff to our Chemical
Pathology services; will continue the rapport
with the Ministry of Health as in previous years
to upgrade the Chemical Pathology services of
the country. Hope all the membership will be
with me and render steady support, meaningful
contribution with enthusiasm, active
participation and cooperation will be extended
by all of you to take this respected
professional body on the correct path which will
determine the value and success of our
activities. This will enable us to make the year
ahead a fruitful and a memorable one.
I have a great determination to serve to the
best of my ability in taking our college from
strength to strength working closely with
council members and the membership.
